On January 20th, 2021, President Joe Biden talked to the staff at the White House. “I’m not joking when I say this: If you’re ever working with me and I hear you treat another colleague with disrespect or talk down to someone, I promise you, I will fire you on the spot — on the spot. No ifs ands or buts,” Biden told the staffers, talking to a large video screen.

However, in a Vanity Fair article, we found out that “I will fire you on the spot — on the spot” doesn’t actually mean on the spot… or even at all. According to Vanity Fair, Deputy Press Secretary TJ Ducklo had made inappropriate comments to Tara Palmeri, a Politico reporter. The confrontation happened on January 20th and raised questions about Biden’s promise to keep a clean White House.

In the interesting article (that I encourage you to read), they mentioned the comments that included:

“I will destroy you,”

“Jealous” that an unidentified man in the past had “wanted to fuck” McCammond “and not you.”

“Ducklo also accused Palmeri of being “jealous” of his relationship with McCammond.”

The White House Press Secretary stated that the White House doesn’t plan to fire Ducklo and has settled on a week suspension without pay.

Update: TJ Ducklo resigned Saturday Feb 13th, 2021
